About Max

Max urgently needs a home. He is great with other cats; he seems to be people selective. Someone please give him a chance! Come meet him in our foster home. Here is his story: Max, #A5754188 is ready for his forever home. Formerly known as Moe, he found himself at the shelter after his human was hospitalized. He stayed in the house for a week by himself. he was traumatized and scared. By the time he got to the shelter, he was hissy and seemingly aggressive. The moment we got him home, he was friendly. He would let us pet him, and then he would swat, not from aggression, but fear. It took him less than two weeks to realize that no one's ever going to hurt him. He was very sweet and friendly. He would still do best in an adult-only home. He is good with other cats. The sooner we can get him adopted the sooner we can rescue another cat out the shelter. Please, somebody step up! ,save two lives: adopt Max and let us save another cat from the shelter. We brought max back to the shelter to get seen and saved. He was nervous at the shelter, but if you take it slow, he is ok. Unfortunately, one of the volunteers did not take it slow and he bit her. and he was in quarantine. We brought him back home to foster again as he can't stay in the shelter. Now, he is super friendly with me, but for some reason, does not like my husband, who has never hurt him. We don't know if this is a man thing or just my husband for some weird reason. Regardless, we can't foster him forever. He can't go back to the shelter. If we do not find him a home, he will be deemed unadoptable and the shelter will euthanize him. We need a cat savvy patient person. Is that you? he needs a home asap!
