About Spencer

We are unfortunately looking for someone who can give Spencer his real forever home. He was a stray we took in February 14th 2026. We never planned on getting another dog and felt like this was meant to be but I'm feeling like I was just meant to be the one to get him through this. I've been told i shouldnt feel guilty as I can say I was essentially fostering him, but that doesn't change how I feel. He became my best friend. He is still not doing well with my husband and uncle AT ALL and it's creating a lot of stress on everyone, including Spencer. He also is still doing terrible with our cats and it's becoming an unbearable situation for everyone. He is the sweetest when he's comfortable with someone. Does excellent with my kids and other dogs. But I can't have him live his life afraid and on alert like he has been as it's only getting worse. The vet estimates he's 1-2 years old. He's very very active but will slow down for cuddles pretty quick. He's going to be anxious and slow to warm up at first, but he's worth the patience. He is potty trained and kennel trained.
