Finn is a rescue who has been with the family since 2017. He needs a new home because of need to move to Texas and I could no longer care for a dog at new residence. Currently housed with my parents in WV. He was great with my kids, boy and girl, and most of their friends - can be protective at times if feels someone is threatening in some way, so we would introduce him to new people on a leash to test his reaction (most of the time no issues). Has lived with cats the entire time, no issues and loved to play with the cats (nicely). He would also play with other dogs at my friend's house and dog park - on occasion would be protective if another dog seemed threatening. Would go hiking with him off leash, very obedient and responsive to commands - would leash when other hikers or dogs were around just to be sure he didn't feel threatened. Energy is high, however, he is slowing with age. He still loves to run, especially to catch frisbee and ball. Very smart, so I recommend spelling his trigger words - frisbee, walk, ball, and Christmas (yes, Christmas). He is a great walking companion. I am sad I can no longer care for Finn but I am hopeful we can find a healthy home for him.
