About Ace

Ace is almost 5 months old and already had been through puppy manners class and knows sit, off and leave it. He has a very sweet demeanor. Ace is very friendly with dogs and people. We do not know what he thinks about cats. Ace loves to play in the yard so a fenced yard would be great, but he'd also be a great hiking buddy. He was an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. Ace is a pure bred lab who originally was going to be trained as a service animal to a family with autistic twins. However the sudden loss of the Dad left the Mom unable to handle 2 autistic toddlers and a puppy. Ace weighs about 41 pounds. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to please submit an application on our website today so that we can try and process and pre-approve any potential adopters prior to our next adoption event. For puppies that have not been able to be neutered/spayed yet (due to being too young or small) we charge $600 with the condition that when they are fixed $100 is refunded. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting. **If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
