Ruger is an amazing dog! Ruger was found wondering and when previous owner was contacted they didn't want him back or knew the name of the people they gave him to. Ruger is not doing well at the shelter. He barks and howls all day long with no breaks. He has stayed with shelter staff in their home and he does well. He is house broke, quiet, lays on the couch or bed, no food issues. Ruger does have separation anxiety. We are working on this but nothing has really helped. When he is left alone he barks and howls non-stop. He walks past geese and ducks with no issues. He loves to chase ground hogs and rabbits. We haven't encountered a coon yet to see what he would do. Ruger will be an amazing dog for the right home. Ideally someone that works from home or an active retired family. He has done well with 2 walks and play time in yard a day. Please rescue Ruger from the jail cell that he's in.
