Hello, I was named Blue Eyes due to my most noticeable feature- my stunning eyes! I am estimated at 2 years old, weigh around 50 lbs and my rescue sees mountain cur and Rhodesian ridgeback in me (best guess). I was part of a hoarding case where I had been kept in a crate with very little socialization for a long period of time. Luckily, Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue heard about me and provided the care I needed to get healthy. They have been so very gentle and patient with me as I learned to trust and how to be a 'dog'. While I am still a little shy at first, I am doing much better and finally ready to start looking for my furever family. I walk pretty good on leash and try to keep my kennel clean- with your help, we can establish a potty schedule that works for both of us. I have been okay with other dogs here at the rescue, but sometimes get scared when there's a lot of barking and commotion. If you have a current dog, please bring him/her to the meet and greet with you so we can all meet. As I am still a little shy, I would do best with either no children or children over 12yrs of age that know how to be calm and gentle with me. Please understand, I am still learning how to be the bestest dog and part of a family- I will need a little extra time, patience and love. My $150 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, spay, deworming and preventatives while in our care, heartworm test (negative) and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt.
