About Spartan

Spartan is 16 hands, with a big motor, and will gait once mounted for several hundred feet. For this reason, only experience riders. He moves out and has a fast pace. He crosses everything and loves crossing thru water. He is sure footed and does great in the woods. His gaits are smooth and fast. He does best on a lose rein and soft hands. He carries the bit nicely. He can be hard to bridle due to something that happened in his past, but he is getting better. He has an old injury to his right front leg, and it may flare up if you gait on uneven ground or pavement without Poly Shoes. He will be ready to ride in a day or two after resting. He has been checked by a vet and is sound. Spartan stands for the farrier, saddling, Ties. He does it all. He is also the dominant horse in the herd.
