About CLOVER

Adoption Fee: $500
Chihuahua mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

CLOVER is an 18-month-old, 12 pound Chihuahua mix who was taken in by a Good Samaritan after being dumped in the country. He has the cutest expressive eyes and head tilts that make him hard to resist. CLOVER is a sweet playful boy with a fun personality and just enough puppy energy to keep life entertaining. He loves running zoomies around the yard, chasing squirrels with the other dogs, and playing a game that is part fetch and part 'keep the ball away.' When he is not busy playing, he enjoys chewing on toys and bones and snuggling up close with his people. CLOVER does very well with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with a canine companion. He takes comfort in having a buddy around and even does better on leash when he has another dog to follow. He hates being left alone and will cry, so we would not recommend an apartment setting for him. He met a young child and did great. We do think he would likely want to playfully chase cats, so a cat-free home would probably be best. CLOVER is still very much a puppy in some ways and will chew on things he should not if left unattended, especially cords and books, so he will need supervision and continued guidance. He is also still working on potty training. He can get distracted outside and not fully finish, so consistency and patience will be important as he continues to learn. He is decent on a leash, though he can get excited and bounce in circles. He knows 'sit' and is currently working on 'down.' At night, CLOVER sleeps in the big bed or in a nearby dog bed. CLOVER is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
