About PokiBear

PokiBear is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, and intelligent girl who loves being close to her people. She enjoys cuddling on soft blankets (often burrowing into them!) and is the perfect companion for quiet, cozy days at home. She also has a fun, energetic side and loves to play-especially fetch. She'll happily bring the ball back again and again and enjoys staying active. PokiBear knows basic commands such as sit, paw, and stay, and she does best with daily walks and playtime once or twice a day. PokiBear is very expressive and communicative. She'll gently paw at you, make adorable 'pittie' sounds, or give you those classic puppy eyes to let you know what she needs-whether it's attention, playtime, a treat, or a potty break. She's incredibly intuitive and forms strong bonds with her person, especially with someone who provides consistency, love, and attention. She is strong on leash and may pull when excited, so she would benefit from an owner who is comfortable handling a strong dog or willing to continue leash training. PokiBear has never bitten anyone and has not shown aggression toward people. She does well with other dogs and currently lives with another dog she has bonded with. She has demonstrated that she can get along with both dogs and people, including children. Because she can be energetic and playful, interactions with younger children should always be supervised to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. She is also very observant and can be protective-if another dog behaves aggressively toward her or her person, she may respond. Thoughtful introductions and well-matched playmates will help her continue to succeed socially. Ideal Home: Someone who is home often or able to give her consistent attention An active owner who can provide daily walks and playtime A home comfortable with a strong, energetic dog A home with well-matched dogs or as an only pet A home where interactions with young children are supervised Reason for Rehoming: PokiBear is being rehomed due to a change in living circumstances and the need for a home that can provide consistent time, attention, and care. I am moving and cannot bring her with me, and my priority is ensuring she transitions into a stable, loving environment where she can continue to thrive. PokiBear has been deeply loved and has been with me since she was just two months old. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and my goal is to find her a safe, stable, and loving home where she can continue to be the amazing dog she is.
