Meet Herbie Herbie is a 6-year-old New Zealand Huntaway mix who is looking for a fresh start after losing the only home he had ever known. After his owner passed away, Herbie and his brother Brutus found themselves living in a boarding facility in Phoenix, Arizona, where Herbie continues to wait for someone to give him a second chance. Herbie is deaf and has cerebellar hypoplasia, a condition he was born with that makes him a little wobbly at times. It is not painful, does not progress, and honestly, most people hardly notice it once they meet him. It certainly doesn't slow him down from enjoying walks, adventures, belly rubs, toys, and spending time with his people. This sweet boy is affectionate, gentle, house trained, and loves attention. He happily leans in for pets, rolls over for belly rubs, and simply wants to be close to the people he loves. Because Herbie is living in boarding rather than a public shelter, he is often overlooked despite being such a wonderful dog. He deserves a family who will see past his disabilities and recognize the loving, loyal companion he truly is. Herbie is house trained, best with older children, and looking for a home without cats. Most of all, he's looking for someone to love. If you're ready to open your heart to Herbie, please apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPP/Dog
