About Charles

Charlie is approximately 7 years old. He was brought in after the new owner of his house found him abandoned on the property. We later found that Charlie's teeth had been worn down, most likely from chewing the bars of a kennel or eating rocks from starvation after being abandoned by his previous owners. Charlie is able to eat dry food softened with water or canned food without issues. While getting Charlie set up for a dental procedure, our vet discovered that he was also heartworm positive. Thanks to a private donor, Charlie was able to receive heartworm treatment and we should find out in a couple months if he is all clear! Unfortunately, Charlie's time with his foster has run out and she can no longer house him. Charlie was very shutdown when he was previously in the shelter and his outcome does not look good if he has to return there instead of being adopted or pulled by a rescue while he is in foster care. Charlie is housebroken, great with cats, and good with calm dogs after slow introductions. Please help us find Charlie a safe, patient, and loving place to land as soon as possible.
