He was just hours away from being euthanized at a high-kill shelter in Los Angeles-despite a heartfelt surrender letter from his owner describing what an incredible dog he is. His only 'mark' against him? He once snapped at a stranger who approached his owner at night-protecting his mama. No skin was broken. But in overcrowded shelters, even a moment like that can become a death sentence. We couldn't let that be the end of his story. Thanks to an incredible foster, Amanda, who stepped up without hesitation, Frances Buckley is now safe-and we are forever grateful. We truly cannot save dogs like him without committed fosters opening their homes and hearts. And what we've learned since rescuing him?
