Foster location: Seymour Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Savanna unfortunately came back to us at Our Pack after 1 1/2 years with her prior adoption family. She loved her family and had a guarding and protection habit. With their family growing and babies on the way they made a tough decision to bring her back to us. Savanna has been with her foster family for over a week now. She does great with the resident dog. Plays well with the 11 and 14 yr old kiddos. The cat is just tooo much fun to chase, so no no to cats! (Maybe with right training she can learn cats are off limits) Savanna is a big lug of love. Constantly asking for attention, cuddles, pets and your entire lap. She is loyal, loving and thrives on structure. She sleeps all night in her kennel. During the day she hangs out chilling with the resident dog waiting for everyone to get home from work and school. What we are working on is meeting strangers and guests slowly. She will need a family that is dominant and understands the importance of continued training, guidance and consistency. She is accepting correction and this can absolutely be improved. Savanna had her first CVI and did great. The vet has her now up to date on vaccines. Because of Savanna not being up to date on preventative care we currently have a lab test pending to rule out any tick-borne illnesses like Lyme disease and she has shown occasional soreness in her knee. We want to ensure she is 100% healthy and set up for success before finding her next home. Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823.
