I found this girl barely walking wondering the streets, we stopped to feed her and she jumped in my car scared of the thunder and as her last resort of survival. I've been taking care of her for a couple days, feeding her and giving her shelter, but she is very weak still and has lost a lot of muscle from malnutrition, therefore is just starting to regain strength to walk and stand up on her own. I believe she has been neglected and starved. She is so so sweet, loves pets and cuddles so I really would love to give her a fighting chance of a furever home. Please please if anyone can help, she needs to be medically evaluated. I cannot keep her for much longer as I have two reactive dogs and keeping her in the garage won't be an option once our Texas heat returns. If anyone can help or point me in the correct direction. Even sharing can help to find her someone who can truly help her. I stopped by animal defense league, but basically was told it'll be super rare if they take her in as they prioritize dogs on euthanasia lists IF they have availability.
