About Kennelly

Help me, please. At risk of being euthanized when the shelter gets over-capacity, which happens often, since am considered a longer-term doggie here (arrived March 3rd). If I end up being one of the tragically chosen ones, then will be dumped into a black garbage bag..., as if I was not worthy of life, love. I am a good boy, am worthy! When I first arrived at the shelter as a stray, I was afraid and confused, as one would expect. Less afraid now, but still not completely at ease here, since can be a kind of scary place. The volunteers at the shelter think I am a handsome boy. Am a pretty calm doggie. I know some commands and melt into pets and am a push-over when praised. Met some dogs on leash (boy and girl doggies), did pretty good, am the playful type. Please come visit me. Maybe take me home? Come. Human speaking here now, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster Kennelly (different process-which I can explain), any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, contact this page. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, very real risk, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, which is a tragedy upon a tragedy, to be locked up so much, especially for larger breed dogs, such as Shepherds, which can lead to suffering mental stress, which, can significantly increase risk of being 'humanely' euthanized. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up so much. Please, come out. Any dog that is adopted will be neutered/spayed by the shelter, at no charge, same for microchipping.
