[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] I rescued Potato and his mother (Edit) from an extremely negligent/inhumane environment. Potato was raised in a mobile home and has NEVER been outside. The photo I posted was him doing his very best after I had to carry him out. With his age I am very hopeful that he will grow out of this. He may forever be a very timid boy. I am very gently working on potty training him. He was using potty pads but his home conditions were absolutely deplorable. When I got him, his smell made my eyes water. Imagine a pig pen in the hot summer sun, devastating. His nails were curling into his pads. I had him and his mother neutered and spayed on 3/31/26. He does not have thick enough pads for long walks outside yet, but he's getting there. I only get him out for about 15 minutes each day. He does very well with his mom around. However, I dont know him well enough to provide a whole lot of history. But a year and some months inside a home with only one human being to interact with, will make for some very difficult training obstacles. I KNOW there are people out there dedicated to loving dogs like Potato. The rescues all around me are full. I will be fostering him and doing my very best to place him in a home as soon as I can. He deserves a life with someone able to dedicate their time to him. He will need a very quiet home. Honestly I think he'd love anyone as long as they were committed to understanding his background.
