About Nala

Location: LINCOLN, NE It makes me sick to my stomach to be posting this��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD Meet Nala. Our sweet girl came to our family about 2 years ago. We rescued her from a shelter after she had been surrendered and bred A LOT. We know absolutely nothing about her history besides that and unfortunately have found out that she absolutely cannot be around other dogs. She has been an incredible family dog, as you can see my toddler and Nala are absolutely best friends and somehow got along with chickens. She has attacked other dogs 2 times since we got her and all details about those are as follows: 1st time: we were walking out of our front door and she heard dogs barking. She bolted, caused me to fall because she ran through us all and found the dogs across the street. They had an iron rod fence and she was able to get her head through and grab hold of one of the dogs. It took me and the neighbor a solid minute to get her off the dog and somehow the dog was totally fine, thank goodness. 2nd time: very similar to the first, saw a dog as we opened the front door to our travel trailer, bolted and grabbed hold. This dog however has a ripped lip and again took my husband about 30 seconds to get her off the dog. We will likely be asked to leave the RV park we are staying at due to this incident. We are not in a position to get the behavioral training done to potentially get this issue solved and had we known this level of aggression was present, we would not have adopted in the first place, as my mama heart is always worried she will turn on one of our daughters. No signs of aggression towards them have ever happened. Despite the safe guards we have put into place we have been unsuccessful in keeping her safe and out of these situations and we 100% take responsibility in that and do not take this lightly.
