About 'BONSAI'

Courtesy Posting: Nr ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO -'BONSAI' the ADORABLE CREAM CHOW- SANDOVAL COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES- FRIENDLY- NEEDS AN ADOPTER, OR FOSTER (OR FOSTER TO ADOPT) OR RESCUE TO STEP IN ASAP THIS IS A REMOTE SHELTER WITH LIMITED SPACE, DOGS DO NOT HAVE LONG AT THIS SHELTER- WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER AND RESCUE TO STEP IN, HE STILL NEEDS A SAFE PLACE TO LAND. HELP PLEASE! Help! The shelter reached out to us asking for help for this adorable boy who is estimated to be 5 years old and with no noted medical issues at this time. Bonsai was found as a stray, but his owner sadly never showed. The shelter described him as a 'sweet chow' and let us know he came to their small shelter on 3/27 after a Good Samaritan found him and brought him in their car after a day or two of gaining his trust. The shelter also provided good video of him being very calm around a very active puppy and said 'He has shown no other forms of aggression towards staff or animals. Bonsai will receive vaccinations, microchips and his neuter through us. We do not have a veterinarian onsite so the neutering aspect may take us a couple of weeks to get an appointment. Bonsai is very aloof thus far with staff and other canines.' They sent us several videos, one with the you, and another with staff he ignored as in typical chow fashion. We are now desperately looking for a good home, or a foster and a rescue (rescue groups need fosters). The shelter told us they will consider adoptions to qualified homes. Most rescues need a solid foster to save him.
