Meet MooMoo READ ENTIRE POST We are now accepting pre-adoption applications for one of Mishka's puppies - MooMoo. Experienced applicants only. MooMoo is an almost 8-week-old Husky/Shepherd mix (Shepsky). Like all puppies, she is still learning about the world and will require time, patience, and proper guidance to grow into a well-balanced adult dog. While she is small now, MooMoo will grow into a medium to large breed dog. This is a long-term commitment that requires preparation, consistency, and an understanding of the breed. She will not be ready for adoption until receiving her second set of vaccines, but we are accepting applications now to find the right forever home. Adoption Fee: $550 Includes: First two sets of vaccines Microchip Spay at our partner vets (when age-appropriate) Fecal exam Ideal Home Requirements: Experience with Husky/Shepherd breeds (Shepsky) is mandatory Active home prepared for a high-energy, working-breed mix All current pets must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on yearly vaccines Applications will not be considered if resident pets are not altered or current on vaccines. Breed-Specific Notes: Shepskies (Husky/Shepherd mixes) are highly intelligent, driven, and very active. They require consistent training, structure, and experienced handling. They are not suited for first-time dog owners. MooMoo is already showing a feisty, confident personality. She will need structure, training, and an owner who understands how to properly guide and manage this type of dog. If you do not have experience with this breed mix, your application will not be considered. We are committed to placing MooMoo in a forever home where she will succeed long-term. Must be adopted locally in Miami, Broward, or Palm Beach. Adopters must be able to bring her to our partner vets in Miami, Davie, or Boca Raton for spay when age-appropriate. Puppy Commitment: MooMoo will require ongoing training, structure, exercise, and consistency as she grows. This is not a short-term commitment - it is a responsibility for her lifetime. Huskies are high-energy, intelligent, stubborn dogs that require structure, exercise, and experienced handling. Without that, they can become overwhelming for the average owner. This is why shelters are full of Huskies. Before criticizing our requirements, understand that we are not being difficult - we are being responsible. Our goal is to place MooMoo in a home where she will succeed, not end up back in rescue. Please do your research before bringing home a Husky or any working breed. Make sure you are prepared not just for the puppy stage, but for the dog she will become. Adoption is not about what is cute right now. It is about a lifelong commitment
