Courtesy Posting: DOWNEY, CA (S CAL)- LOS ANGELES COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL- DOWNEY- ID #A5765584 'FALAFEL' - A YOUNG SWEET CHOW HUSKY X BOY- MAY BE AVAILABLE TO A FOREVER HOME, OR WILL NEED FOSTER AND RESCUE IF NO ONE COMES TO ADOPT SOON URGENT - SHELTER IS OVER CAPACITY and may become at risk for euthanasia due to space and on a short deadline. Please help us find a loving and forever home, or foster and rescue to save this beautiful boy who is said to be 2 years young and 60 lbs. The shelter told us Falafel: 'presented as quiet and somewhat hesitant during intake, showing a crouched, tense posture with reluctance to approach but no signs of aggression. He avoided eye contact and remained subdued, though he readily accepted canned food, suggesting some willingness to engage. He arrived with a muzzle in place but maintained a low fear-anxiety-stress level overall. Medically, he is bright, alert, and responsive with stable vital signs. Notable findings include several itchy skin lesions, including hotspots on the ventral neck, lower lip, and left lateral pelvis, with two testing positive under Woods lamp. Mild alopecia around the nose and mouth was observed but appears healed. He has been started on routine vaccinations and parasite prevention, with follow-up care recommended to monitor and treat his skin conditions. He is on a chip hold we are looking at his available date to be around 4-7-28.' Falafel has been vaccinated and is already neutered as well. We are hoping the shelter will make him available to adopt after this time, but he may become Rescue only due to medical or being shy. If adoptable, and to give Falafel a forever home, please contact the shelter directly to adopt by calling 562-940-6898 asap and reference his applicable ID.
