Lab / Poodle

MEET SALEM & HER STORY PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST Last year, we rescued Salem, a beautiful Labradoodle who was dumped on an empty lot in the Redlands with a severe leg fracture. She endured surgery, recovery, and months of rehabilitation, and now she is finally ready for a foster-to-adopt home. But Salem is not your typical doodle. Her past has left emotional scars, and she needs a very specific, experienced home. ABOUT SALEM: High energy, but also very fearful and anxious Does not do well in public settings - she freezes and panics on walks Needs a secure, escape-proof yard (she will attempt to jump fences) Requires an experienced dog owner with patience and understanding Dog-friendly and gets along well with other dogs NO SMALL CHILDREN NO CATS Approximately 65+ lbs, 2-3 years old Salem completed 4 weeks of professional training, and while she made progress, her trainer strongly recommended that she would do best as a home dog with a safe, secure yard to run and decompress, rather than being exposed to busy public environments. She has been in a structured boarding setting continuing her work, but she will need ongoing patience, consistency, and a calm environment to truly thrive. THE RIGHT HOME FOR SALEM: We are looking for a committed adopter who can provide: A stable, calm home environment A secure yard where she can run freely and safely Experience with fearful or high-energy dogs Financial ability for grooming, yearly vaccines, and continued training if needed The dedication to continue her rehabilitation journey Please do not apply based on looks alone. Salem is beautiful, but she requires commitment, experience, and patience. WE ALSO URGENTLY NEED EXPERIENCED FOSTERS Salem, and dogs like her, cannot sit in boarding. It is stressful, and they begin to decline. We are taking in more dogs than we can place, and without fosters, we cannot continue to save lives. These are not difficult dogs, but they are scared dogs. They need guidance, patience, and someone who understands them. Must be located in Miami or Broward. ARE YOU THE RIGHT MATCH? If you are ready to open your home to Salem, please submit an application: www.pawpatrolanimalrescue.com%BD%81%A0%BD%BD%BD If your application is a good match, a volunteer will contact you.
