About Nix

Adoption Fee: $100
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

His previous owners gave him up to us because they cannot care for him anymore and we agreed to foster him until we can find him a forever home. His previous two years were basically in a fenced in yard without a lot of attention. Since he has been with us we have had him on a correction collar outside. He never strays too far from us nor our other dogs. If he does get a little too far, we just beep the collar and he comes right back. He and our youngest pity go with me on walks through the woods behind our house and he basically stays right by my side .His personality is blue healer all day every day%BD'%BD| Lol! He likes to herd us and our other dogs. We have taken him to our vet and have him up-to-date on all his shots, groomed, spayed and chipped. He is with us because his situation wasn't great where he was at, and he was being ignored and neglected. The reason why we would like to find him different home is because we already have five dogs (lazy pitties and an lazy hound) and they are all pretty chill and are not a big fan of blue healer energy. Plus it's a lot for us. We have a routine with our other dogs that he does not seem to fit due to his breeds personality. Nothing bad on his part. It's just who he is. We would love to find him a forever home that has people who know the breed and have a little bit more property than we do. I just want to be fair to him and give him the best life possible. Plus all of our dogs are inside dogs and he seems like he wants to spend his time outside. That would not be a problem except that we have a neighbor that butts up to our property and they have goats and chickens that I do not want him messing with. If they were our goats and chickens that would be something different, but they are not. He seems to be pretty much housebroken, as we take him outside fairly often. He had a few accidents when we first got him, but he is going on two weeks with no accidents and lets us know when he needs to go outside. He's a sweet, loving dog with lots of energy. We would not expect any kind of adoption fee or donation or anything like that. Of course we would like to screen the potential living arrangement. We would gladly discuss an arrangement for transportation. We just want to see him in the best home possible.
