About Monteverdi

Am only about a year-old and at risk of being made to 'disappear' when the shelter gets over-capacity, which happens often, since am considered a longer-term doggie (arrived Jan. 22nd). Then will be dumped into a black, garbage bag..., disposed of, no one, or very few mourning my passing. Only need one person to step up, to adopt me, to love me, to possibly save me from basically ending up as garbage. Please love me enough to be that person. The two best things I like to do at the shelter, is snuggle with the volunteers and chew on doggie toys (preferably at the same time). Sadly, don't get much of either, since so many doggies here, not enough volunteers. I am starting to get the hang of sit, like my treats, met some doggies on leash and did pretty good (boy and girl doggies). I was lucky and had a doggie day out around the city with some volunteers. They say, I did 'amazing'. Saw quite a few dogs while walking around and I stayed pretty unbothered. I even passed the cat test at the shelter, so living with cats is a possibility, with proper introduction. Please come meet me. Maybe take me home? We can cuddle and eat snacks together. Come. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, very real risk, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, which is a tragedy upon a tragedy to be locked up so much. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up for much of the time. Please, come out.
