We recently made the incredibly tough decision to rehome our dog, Maisel. With two very young children at home, we were struggling to give her the time, attention, and environment she deserves. Additionally, while Maisel was never aggressive in a severe way, she would occasionally nip at our toddler when boundaries weren't respected, which created safety concerns we couldn't fully manage. About two months ago, we placed Maisel with someone who works at her doggy daycare. someone we trusted and who was familiar with her. Maisel has attended daycare for five years without any issues, so we felt this was a strong and loving match. The new home included two other dogs and an 11-year-old child, and initially, everything seemed to be going well. Unfortunately, the new owner informed us that Maisel has been having conflicts with one of the dogs in the home, with Maisel appearing to be the aggressor. Even more concerning, Maisel also bit their daughter, something completely out of character and unexpected based on her history with us. Given these developments, they are no longer able to keep her. We are devastated, but our priority is finding Maisel a safe, stable, and appropriate home where she can thrive. At this point, we believe Maisel would do best in a home without children or other pets, with an experienced owner who can give her the attention, structure, and care she needs. We are committed to doing right by Maisel and ensuring she finds the best possible home. Any support, guidance, or connections you can provide would mean so much to us during this difficult time. Maisel is a loving, affectionate Australian Shepherd who thrives on attention and enjoys being part of a family. She loves walks, playtime, and snuggling with her humans. She has spent years happily at doggy daycare and is very social with dogs she knows, but she would do best in a home with no kids or other pets, where she can get the focus, structure, and care she deserves. Maisel is smart, loyal, and full of personality-she just needs an experienced owner who can give her consistent guidance, plenty of love, and daily attention. She's looking for a calm, patient forever home where she can feel safe and cherished. If you have the time and heart to devote to Maisel, she'll reward you with endless companionship and devotion
