About Molly

Molly is a sweet and friendly 11 year old schnauzer mix who is looking for her next home! If you have kids or other dogs, this girl will get along great with them. She is also house-trained and good on a leash. She currently weights 28 lbs and is working on losing some weight. Molly came to us after her previous owner surrendered her to animal control. Molly is up to date on shots, spayed, de-wormed, micro-chipped, and just had a dental. Her adoption fee is $350. Medical Note: Molly had two small skin masses removed, which were identified as mast cell tumor (low-grade)-the most common type of skin tumor in dogs. The good news is that these were low-grade, meaning they tend to behave less aggressively and often have a good long-term outlook. Both masses were surgically removed, though one area had very narrow margins, so there is a small chance of regrowth in the future. Because of this, the dog will need simple ongoing monitoring (regular skin checks and vet follow-ups). Dogs with this type of tumor often do very well after surgery, and many live normal, happy lives. Occasionally, new lumps can develop over time, so adopters should be comfortable keeping an eye on any new bumps.
