About Marshall

Meet Marshall. Marshall is a 6-year-old pure bred Dalmatian that was rescued from a puppy mill. Marshall has been in our home since 2020 living with kids, babies, other dogs, goats, chickens and horses and gets along with absolutely everything. He is extremely gentle and not a mean bone in his body. Marshall loves to go on runs and walks, but also likes to just chill at home and snuggle on the couch. Due to the puppy mill, Marshall does have some vices. He loves to bark and talk. If you have someone come to your door, he will make sure you know. He doesn't bark at night but just likes to alert during the day. Marshall is timid around men when he first meets them. He will warm up to you and be his normal loving self, but he needs time. Marshall cannot be trusted to free range your house. He hangs out in our living room when he is inside. If he escapes, he will eat every little scrap of food he can find. He does not chew on furniture or and items. Sometimes he does mistake my toddler's toy for his own but never have had any chewing problems. Marshall uses an e-collar when outside to potty. He is smart. He knows when the collar is not on and will take off. We can go on walks and runs with just the e collar on and no leash and he will stay next to you. Why we are re-homing Marshall. Marshall likes to have a job. I am based 4 hours away from our home so do not have the time to be able to hang out with Marshall as much as he deserves. We also have a working farm with daily visits from people and farmers. Due to this, Marshall barks quite a bit which has been waking up our baby. Also, Marshalls best friend and our 14 year old lab just passed away, so he no longer has his friend that was keeping him busy and occupied during the day. We are extremely picky about who Marshall goes to and are more focused on finding the right home than anything else. He will live with us forever if we do not find the right family.
