Unfortunately circumstances have made it necessary to rehome our girl, Lola. I'm looking for a good forever home for her. We will be doing a background, location and vet check to be sure we have a good fit. If there is a problem we would want to know before she is transferred someplace else. Lola is in Nampa Idaho and we are needing a home within driving distance. Lola is almost 4 yrs old. She is pure bred but not papered. She is spayed. Lola is as smart as they come and very affectionate. When she attaches to her person she wants to be with them, all the time. She loves attention from anyone but she definitely has a 'person'. She is housebroken and kennel trained. She has a dog door but will tell you if she needs to go out. Just pay attention. She barks, like all rotties, when someone comes near her yard. Not in an aggressive way, but excited. Bad guys don't know that. She has no health issues and is not on any medication. She's grown up with her 'sister' Lucy. Lucy is 9 and too old to incorporate into a new home. Lola can walk on a leash. Not perfectly but she won't fight it. She used to love to go to the dog park. But I'm not able to take her. She is very smart and learns quickly. She also is like any teenager and will try to see what she can get away with. She has never shown any aggression to anyone and I have grandbabies who have been around her since they were born. She knows she's not allowed on the furniture or the bed so she doesn't try to get up and she doesn't jump up when no one is around. She can be left out with no one home but I'd wait to be sure she acclimates. She doesn't chew or steal toys from kids. Although all socks are not safe if she's bored. She would do well in a high energy home. She loves to ride in the car, with a seat restraint, she would love to get out more but my husband and I are getting older and that's not always possible. She does have a large backyard that she has access to almost 24/7. She loves to run and chase sticks, or anything else you throw. Bringing them back is a challenge. We would prefer someone familiar with the breed. If you don't have some patience and lots of love and unless you're looking for a loving companion for the next eight to ten years, don't consider Lola. I've always had my dogs from birth to death. It's a commitment for the life of the dog. We aren't happy to be losing Lola but we have no choice. We want the very best home for her. She's a good girl and deserves the best home we can find. The adoption fee of $100. is to insure Lola gets a good home.
