About Rocky

Rocky is a 6�%BD�'��year�'��old Schnauzer mix who lost everything when his owner passed away. With no plan in place, he ended up in a shelter - cold, confused, and waiting for someone who never came. They had no room inside, so this gentle boy was kept in an outdoor pen until PPR stepped in. Rocky is incredibly sweet, mellow, and loving. He spends most of his day snoozing happily and enjoys being near his person. He charms everyone he meets - even the neighbors in his foster home adore him and make sure he gets plenty of pets, which absolutely makes his day. Rocky has a compression in his back that currently doesn't require treatment, but it does mean he feels his best with short, frequent walks rather than long ones. And true to his Schnauzer roots, he is very passionate about squirrels - if he spots one on a walk, he'll announce it with enthusiasm. He is housebroken and does wonderfully with a predictable routine, though he may have a little tinkle if he gets very excited or startled. Rocky also does well with other dogs - he'll even give a playful bark to encourage them to engage with him. Rocky is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. He also recently had a dental cleaning where nine teeth were removed, and he's feeling so much better now. This boy is truly ready for his fresh start.
