About D.B. Cooper

Cooper is a 7 year old Maine Coon Mix. He is an indoor-outdoor cat that enjoys spending days outside not far from the house but coming in periodically for snacks and attention. He typically comes in around bedtime for the night then goes out in the mornings. He is very big on routine. He isn't a super cuddly cat but loves hanging out, loves his head getting scratched, and his daily canned cat food (shreds not pate). For being a big cat he's afraid of his own shadow but he is a dominant male being the only cat in the house. We don't know how he would be around other cats or dogs. He doesn't like to be brushed but grooms himself well except the occasional mat by his ears when he has his winter coat on. We typically just cut those out and occasionally he will nip at us, but he still tolerates it. I would like to find him a home where he can be comfortable and cared for and enjoyed as a lifelong companion. He was my dad's cat and he had him since he was a small kitten but has recently passed away. He really enjoyed hanging out in the shop/garage with dad and sitting on the patio in the morning/evenings with him. I have 2 small female cats (one dominant) and can't take a large dominant male into my house or I would happily keep him.
