About Cortina

Help me, please. Am in danger since considered a longer-term doggie here at the shelter (arrived Feb. 9th) and also, left here by my human, so when the shelter gets over-capacity, which it often does, tragically, at risk of being euthanized, then dumped into a black, plastic garbage bag..., as if I didn't matter, had no worth. I don't know why left here, since am a very good girl. The volunteers say I am super easy to handle, chill/calm doggie, gentle, and am great on leash, all ready to sleep on my own couch. I am an affectionate doggie, like to snuggle. Doing pretty good with my sit and play nice in doggie playgroup (boy and girl doggies). Please come meet me. Maybe take me home? Show me, I matter, have worth, not disposable. Come. Human speaking here now, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster Cortina (different process, I can explain), any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, contact this page. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, very real risk, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, which is a tragedy upon a tragedy, to be locked up so much. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up for much of the time. Come out and visit.
