About Nina

Meet Nina - a loyal, energetic 10-year-old Feist mix looking for the right home Nina has been a beloved part of our family since she was a puppy. She is a sweet, loyal dog who loves being around her people and has done well with our kids. She has a higher energy level for her age and enjoys being active and engaged, but also settles nicely in the home once she's had some activity. She thrives in a predictable routine and would do best in a lower-stress environment. Nina has lived with other dogs and generally does well, though she can be a bit dominant and attention-seeking at times. She may do best as an only dog or with an experienced owner who understands dog dynamics. She is curious about cats and may chase occasionally, but is easily redirected. She is crate-trained and comfortable being kenneled when left alone. She is very food-motivated (which makes her responsive to training), but will seek out food if it's left accessible. Medically, Nina has allergies that are currently well-managed with medication. Her care is straightforward, though there is an ongoing medication cost. We are looking for a home that can provide her with structure, consistency, and attention. Due to changes in our household, we are no longer able to meet her needs, and want to make sure she finds the right environment for this next stage of her life. We are committed to helping her transition and are willing to provide financial support toward her ongoing care.
