About Zelda

Mastiff / Lab
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Zelda is an 8 year old female dog. Mastiff/Black Lab mix. She is a very gentle, loving dog. She is great with all ages of children, and any adults who show her love. She is protective over those she loves, too. She is also house trained/potty trained. She was my husband and I's first baby before our 3 (human) children came along (ages 2 y/o, 4 y/o, 6 y/o). Zelda currently has health issues that are undetermined. She has been assessed by her vet 3 times in recent for recurring UTIs (exam, urine collected, and urine sent out and tested, also put on rounds of antibiotics and pain medications each time). The medications cleared up her symptoms for about 2 weeks each time, and the problems of bladder incontinuince, straining to pee, and sometimes bloody urine have returned each time. I have unfortunately lost my job of 9 years due to losing a babysitter and not being able to afford any of the daycare facilities in my area for my 3 children and not knowing anyone personally who is able to watch them while I continued to work. I have tried to qualify for Care Credit and was denied as I cannot afford the needed care (X-Rays and possible surgery to fix underlying cause which is unknown, as I can't afford the X-Rays to diagnose the problem). Due to all of this, my husband and I are under huge financial strain at the moment and can not afford ongoing costs for the care she needs. I am looking for a loving home for my Zelda, and someone who has the means/can afford to get her the help she desperately needs.
