About 'OSA'

Courtesy Posting: EMERGENCY, EUTH LISTED, MUST EXIT ASAP, FOSTER and RESCUE NEEDED TO SAVE THIS YOUNG LADY! NOTE: MOST RESCUES NEED A FOSTER TO SAVE! Rescue only due to being shy and scared. May need to exit by 2 pm next day DEVORE, CA, So Cal - SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY ANIMAL CARE - ID #A839706, a beautiful female spitz mix listed as a 1 year Chow husky mix named 'OSA' Help! This dear female chow mix, said to be only 1 year old, was brought to the shelter on 3/18 and apparently later owner surrendered. OSA came off her stray hold on 3/23 and can now be euthanized within 96 hours. She was owner surrendered it seems at the end of the hold, and has been shy at the shelter, but did approach for trays, allow some petting and to be leashed. The owner alleged she didn't do well with other dogs or cats (saying she killed cats who came into her yard), and is food aggressive. The shelter said, 'Handler did not observe any forward aggression towards dogs in kennels at this time.' however, and also noted they 'did not observe aggressive behavior when putting the dog into the truck.' Unfortunately, though, OSA is Rescue only, meaning only a rescue can pull her out of the shelter, she cannot be adopted directly from them. OSA is unfortunately expected to be euthanized soon if no rescue steps up. Therefore, we are desperately looking for a foster and or rescue to save her in time.
