She is incredibly affectionate and deeply bonded to people - truly a cuddle bug at heart. If you're sitting on the couch, she wants to be right there with you, curled up under a blanket, resting her head in your lap. She is calm, gentle, and easy to live with. Olive loves to sunbathe, lounge, and relax during the day, but she's also happy to go out for a walk or play when you're ready. She's the perfect balance of low-energy companionship and playful engagement. Personality & Temperament Extremely affectionate and people-oriented Loves children - even more than adults Friendly with new people Quiet and well-mannered (she rarely barks) Gentle, observant, and slightly timid in new situations Adorable snorer when she sleeps Olive is the kind of dog who just wants to be close to her person. She thrives in a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and secure. Favorite Things Playing fetch (balls are her absolute favorite) Sunbathing Being wrapped in blankets Cuddling and sitting in your lap Chew toys and her collection of toys Training & Routine House trained Crate trained Knows basic commands: sit, stay, come Walks calmly on leash Can be left alone for extended periods without issue Daily routine: Eats twice a day (1 cup each meal, prefers food with water) Goes outside twice daily for bathroom Spends most of the day relaxing/sleeping Spayed No known medical issues currently up to date on vaccines Current vet: Heart + Paw (Philadelphia) Important: Ideal Home Olive must be placed in a: Single-dog household (no other dogs) She is reactive to other dogs and does best as the only pet. She thrives when she has her own space and does not need to share her environment. Her ideal home would be: Calm and structured Someone who wants a loyal, affectionate companion A person or family who values connection and companionship Olive will come fully set up for her new home, including: Toys (including her favorite balls) Food Blankets and bedding Crate / playpen Leashes and accessories Clothes (sweaters, winter shoes, etc.) You truly will not need to buy anything - she has everything she needs. This is a deeply difficult and thoughtful decision. Olive lives in a home with another dog, and despite our best efforts over the years, they are not able to coexist safely. We love Olive deeply and want her to have a life where she can fully relax, receive undivided attention, and thrive in a peaceful environment.
