Hi guys! PACC currently has 2 female rats available for adoption. They have been in foster recovering from some medical concerns, but have since healed up and are ready to go into their forever homes! These are pet rats! They originally came to PACC last month with a good samaritan contacted Animal Protection Services about someone dumping animals in a bird cage at a park. When officers arrived they found these girls in the cage with nothing but a knocked over cup of noodles. They were covered in ants and treated for mites as a precaution. Who knows what they've been through before PACC stepped in, but we do know that they are doing much better and deserve to live their golden years in a loving home. The blue and white one is Saffron (A894335)! She is a very independent girl who isnt sure of she can trust humans quite yet. She allows pets and will accept treats when offered, but would prefer to hide in the shadows when a human is around. She is very close with her sister and will follow her lead, but with time and plenty of treats Im certain she come out of her shell. The brown one is Serena (A894334)! She is a little brat and likes to show it. While she is not quite sure if she trusts humans yet, she is very open to building trust if the trust begins with treats. The moment she hears a food bag or rustle of treats she will come running! She does have some medical stuff shes going though. She has a bit of a head tilt, she went through 2 rounds of antibiotics to treat an ear infection. While the ear infection is gone, her head still tilts slightly. Despite that, she has full coordination and does not slow down! If you wiggle your finger in front of her or tickle her she will start popcorning around the cage like she is playing a game of tag! Neither girls are spayed, and their ages are unknown but are estimated to be over a year old. They have never bitten anyone (unless your finger is in the way of a treat) and have very sweet demeanors. They must go home together and cannot be separated. Any adoptor must have a setup at home for them, need advice on getting a cage set up? Let me know and I can go over it with you!
