About Pencil

Pencil/Pence/Pencie is a 6 year old male heeler mix. He has been with our family for 5 years. We have 4 children and while he is gentle, loving, and protective with our kids he is unpredictable with other people's kids (especially young boys) and we have a lot of children ringing our doorbells and in and out of our house all the time. He goes crazy when the doorbell rings but quickly settles down. He is an AMAZING watch dog. Pencil is a wonderful snuggler and loves to sleep at the foot of the bed. He could use some help walking on a leash well. He does very well with the use of an e-collar. He loves being outside, sleeping in the sun, laying on furniture but also respects not being allowed on the furniture. He is house and crate trained. Overall he is a wonderful dog but I cannot allow the unpredictable nature of his temperament with children outside of my own.
