The finder said he was 'very friendly and well behaved' and brought him over to the shelter. Although the shelter has now listed him as a 4 year old husky mix given his blue eyes, we think he is a chow mix given his blackish tongue, possibly also with some golden retriever and or aussie mixed in. He did have a microchip, but it was unregistered. While the shelter or someone named him Hector, we are calling him 'Harley' . Harley came off his stray hold on 3/30 and was just made where he was just made Rescue only because he growled at some dogs on his way back from a walk, after other dogs were barking at him while walking past kennels. Many dog friendly chows and dogs might do this too who are scared or felt threatened by the commotion. So sad. Now, he cannot be adopted directly through the shelter, this must go through a rescue group who is the only one who can pull him from the shelter. Given, most rescue groups NEED fosters and a place for a dog to go, we are therefore desperately looking for a foster, foster to adopt and a rescue (to save Harley in time.
