About Tamaska

Adoption Fee: $0
Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Tamaska arrived at the shelter on March 5th as a stray. Large dogs, such as Huskies, don't tolerate being caged up in kennels well for such long periods as experienced in shelters, besides the kennels being relatively small for larger breeds of dogs. Huskies tolerate it even worse, since are active dogs, need physical and mental stimulation, besides proper training by their humans, so being caged up so much can be even more stressful than for some other breeds. Since they don't tolerate well, at risk of being 'humanely' euthanized due to mental stress. Per volunteers, Tamaska enjoys exploring the shelter yard, running laps around it, is gentle, walks nice on leash, is the sweetest girl, loves to be petted, and takes treats gently. Also, has shown interest, wants to greet other dogs on the other side of the fence, but when called from them, comes back quickly, so a good listener. Tamaska will be spayed by the shelter once adopted, at no charge. Please come out to meet her, see if are a match, hit it off, possibly save her life. Contact this page regarding meeting process. If want to see other wonderful dogs, besides Tamaska, at Chicago Animal Care and Control, who are also in very much need of finding a loving home, scroll down and click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', on left-hand side.
