Rescued this sweet girl from a man that fostered her after she was hit by a car on I-10. I suspect she's around 3 years old. She had a fracture in one of her back hips that healed without any major complications. She runs fine with some limping. She's a very sweet, excitable velcro dog but is terrified of strangers and barks/lunges at them. Has bitten if she isn't approached properly. Unknown history before she was hit as a stray but I suspect she was a neglected/abused guard dog that escaped. Struggles with a lot of reactivity and some resource guarding. I improved how bad it was somewhat but I honestly do not know what I'm doing and can't train her well enough myself nor afford a trainer to give her the good life she deserves. I'm worried that a shelter would end up euthanizing her because of how she would be in that setting-- she needs someone that's owned large dogs before and can work with her. She is kennel trained and knows a few commands that I've managed to teach her. Struggled with separation anxiety the first couple of months I had her but has been able to just sleep in her kennel while I'm at work for several months now.
