About Nummy

Help me, please. Am in danger since considered a longer-term doggie here, so when the shelter gets over-capacity, which it often does, tragically I may be made to 'disappear', my life ended, before I even had a chance to even live much of it. I am only about 2 years old, am an athletic type, and love, love my treats so much, so can teach me new things endlessly. I also like to play with the volunteers, but sadly not much of that, since only get out of my kennel about 2 times a week for short time, so many doggies here, not enough volunteers. When I get a chance, play very nicely in doggie playgroup. Please come visit me. Maybe take me home? We can play together, snuggle, eat treats, on and on, together. Come. Human speaking here, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster Nummy (different process-which I can explain), any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, contact this page. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, very real risk, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, which is a tragedy upon a tragedy, to be locked up so much. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up so much. Please, come out.
