TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, THE WIDOWER HUSBAND/OWNER DUMPED HIM AT THE SHELTER SHORTLY THEREAFTER FOR A NEW GIRLFRIEND WHO DOESNT LIKE HIM. Zeke's world has been turned upside down. ���� For 5 years, he knew nothing but love with an older couple who raised him from a puppy. His mom even hand-fed him every day. A trainer has told us what we already see-Zeke isn't shutting down because he's a bad dog�'�| he's struggling because his heart is broken. He's having a hard time connecting here, but in a home with routine and consistency, he would thrive. We've seen the good in him-Zeke has done well with calm, laid-back dogs, knows how to sit for treats, and we truly believe he'll be a relaxed, loving companion once he feels safe again. He did well riding in a crate, even though the car made him a little nervous. Zeke is fully vetted, and we are ready to support whoever steps up for him-we'll provide 6 months of heartworm prevention, food, a crate, blankets, and any supplies needed. A trusted trainer is also willing to help every step of the way, and we can assist with transportation. But none of that matters if he doesn't get out soon.
