About Wrigley

Wrigley is a high energy dog, he loves big and runs big! unfortunately he does not like other dogs. He lives with a dog he does get along with and he loves his kids in the house. However our concern is that he is an escape artist. he is constantly trying to get out of the yard or out the front door. On his most recent dash around the neighborhood he tried to play with a very small dog on a leash and ended up hurting the dog; I do not believe he meant to cause harm but the dog was very miniature and wrigley is big and not gentle. We have tried to ensure he gets enough exercise and stimulation he continues to be a very wild dog and my concern is he will get out when I'm not around and he could knock over an older person walking by or cause harm to someone or something. We have to many people (kids) in and out of our house. When Wrigley is in the house he does have high energy and jumps on people when they come in but he is friendly. Wrigley loves to play with toys, loves to snuggle and I think he enjoys walks but he does bark a lot is his barking at other dogs while walking; he has growled at other dogs. He is playful and very smart. He goes for a walk, loves to plays outside, sleeps. Wrigley would thrive as an only dog where he had a great deal of attention and consistent and regular training. He needs alot of exercise and be handled by an adult who can handle the pulling and barking when out. Wrigley is trained to sit, he can sometimes lay down and sometimes come when called (unless he has run out of the house and then he will not come back until you catch him.) He is crate trained although does not spend much time in it these days unless we have a lot of people over and I worry about him knocking someone over/ playing to rough. He is great on the leash, except when there are other dogs and we do use a gentle leader. If you are walking with just him he's great. If he sees other dogs he has the tendency to bark and pull aggressively. Wrigley is up to date on his vaccines and is microchipped.
