About Freddy

'Meet Freddy! After living his entire 10 years with the only family he's ever known, this little Dachshund found himself scared and confused in the shelter after his family could no longer care for him. Even through all that change, Freddy has held onto his gentle, loving spirit. Freddy is everything you'd expect from a well-loved companion. He's fully house-trained, perfectly polite, and completely free roam trustworthy (just don't leave any tissues around for him), making him an easy and addition to your home. He is carrying a couple of extra pounds right now, but he's doing well slimming down to his ideal weight of about 12-13 lbs. Walks and chasing a ball are among his favorite things, and he lights up in the most adorable way when it's time to play. Freddy does well with dogs and cats, but he can be a bit shy at first when meeting new people or dogs. Give him a little time and patience, and he'll blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. He doesn't ask for much - just a loving home, some walks and play time, and someone to share his days with.
