Hiro von Hambach is a stunning black and red German Shepherd who our trainer describes as 'chill.' At around two years old, he seems mature for his age, he meets both people and other dogs with a gentle, loving nature and an eager-to-please attitude. Hiro is a total star in playgroups, often breaking into playful 'play bows' and showing off a push-and-pull play style that makes him a great match for a pal with similar energy. Hiro likes the less rowdy play groups, but adjusts his play to other dogs. He does well with our trainers, walks well on leash, knows some commands, has recall, he is incredibly treat-motivated and already knows 'sit' and 'shake.' We know Hiro was loved and well-cared for, we can see he was someone's best buddy. He loved riding along with one of our trainers in his truck. Hiro ended up in an animal shelter through no fault of his own; the volunteers there didn't let us forget Hiro was a very special dog! Someday, if Hiro feels it is time, he will tell you his whole story. No kitties or small dogs. To meet this dog please go to our website at www.sheprescue.org and complete and application to speak to an adoption advisor.
