About Coco

Adoption Fee: $650
Poodle / Havanese
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Coco is a sweet 1-year-old pup-possibly a Yorkiepoo, Shih-poo, or Havanese mix-who is searching for a patient and loving forever home. Coco and his sister were rescued from an abusive and neglectful situation where they were no longer wanted. Despite his difficult past, Coco is learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and cared for. Coco is truly the definition of a companion dog. He loves being close to his people and will happily follow you from room to room, always wanting to be part of whatever you're doing. Whether you're relaxing at home or heading out for a walk, Coco will be right by your side. He enjoys his daily walks and spending quiet, quality time with his humans. Coco is looking for a calm, quiet, and laid-back home where he can feel safe and secure. Because of his past, he can be nervous when first meeting new people. He needs a patient adopter who will give him the time and understanding he needs to build trust. Once he feels comfortable, he truly blossoms into the most loving, affectionate, and loyal little dog-you'll have a best friend for life. He would do best in a home without young children, or with older children (16+) who understand how to respect his space and gentle nature. Coco is not a high-energy dog and can become overwhelmed in busy environments. Coco is very people-oriented and can be quite clingy, so he would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time-ideally someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. He forms strong bonds and loves deeply. He is still working on his potty training. Coco uses wee-wee pads and also goes outside, but he may have occasional accidents, especially when feeling nervous or if left alone too long. With consistency, patience, and routine, he will continue to improve. Coco gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is also cat-friendly, making him a great fit for a multi-pet household. He enjoys going on walks and spending time outdoors at a relaxed pace. In his foster home, Coco has been very loved (and a bit spoiled!) and has grown used to sleeping in bed with his person. His future adopter must be comfortable continuing this, as it brings him comfort and security. Due to his past, Coco cannot be crate trained. He developed a strong aversion after being crated for extended periods (up to 12 hours), so a home that does not require crating is essential. Coco is neutered, vet checked, dewormed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm and Lyme disease. Coco is ready to find a family who will give him the love, patience, and security he has always deserved. In return, he will give you endless affection, loyalty, and companionship. If you're looking for a gentle, devoted little shadow to share your life with, Coco may be your perfect match. Interested in adopting Coco?
