About Creed

Creed is a very sweet and loyal 6 year old Shepherd/Lab mix. He has been with us since he was 8 weeks old and is an incredibly kind, cuddly dog. He loves to sleep, lounge, chase tennis balls, and lay on anything soft! Creed can be lazy, we really don't do long walks often. Most of the day he just lays around in the same room as us. At night he sleeps in his crate in another room. His crate is important to him and is his safe place. Creed has a scary big dog bark, whenever someone is at our door but once he warms up, which usually takes 30 seconds, he will follow you around and be your best friend. He will bark like crazy if he can see another dog or person walking by. Creed is up early with us, and gets his regular breakfast and outside time. He then sleeps and lounges for most of the day. If we have been out for some time when we get home he gets super excited for a bit of time, we let him out and he loves to run and play and then he is back to lounging! All things considered he's a lazy dog. A house with adults and no other pets would be ideal. For his first 2 years we had another dog in the home and they were great friends until she passed away. He has not been socialize much with other dogs however when he greets our neighbors dog they get along very well. Creed seems great with kids although he has not been with very young children often. When our grandbaby visits here he is very gentle with her. Creed just likes to lay down next to her. He does play and often walks with our neighbor's son. We are re-homing due to a lifestyle change that will require us to be away a minimum of two weeks a month. We feel the best home is one with a solid fenced yard for lots of sniffing and running. Creed is house and crate trained. He has been through a 6 week board and train. He does not have any separation anxiety, but has fear and anxiety with fireworks or loud popping noise so 4th of July and New Years can be difficult for him. He does have some experience with a shock collar that controls him pretty well, but we have not used it in quite awhile. He is up to date on all vaccines, is neutered as well. He has no other medical needs or medication.
