Gorgeous boy Basil was saved from euthanasia with just minutes to spare. He was completely shut down in the care center and sick with a bad case of kennel cough. Based on his fly-stricken ears (which make him look like an adorable bear cub) and large calluses, he likely he has spent many lonely days outside on concrete. Unfortunately I'm not in the position to keep him but couldn't bear to see him go. Found as a stray and ending up sick and out of options, he hasn't had the best hand dealt to him but I know there is the perfect loving family out there for him ready to give him his second chance. 'Baz' is getting better every day with lots of love and chicken soup and is now like a different dog. His goofy super sweet personality is shining through. Very gentle on the leash for being such a big boy (115 lbs.), he would love someone to take him on chill walks and coffee shop dates where he is sure to be complimented on his striking good looks. He is gentle but sometimes thinks he is a lap dog so may do best in a home without small children that could be knocked over. He'll enjoy learning new things, and having a routine. He thrives with encouragement and positive reinforcement. If you're ready for a devoted companion who will stick by your side through everything, Baz is your guy.
