About Suki

I am looking for help rehoming my beloved 5 year old Shar pei/Pit mix. Our life circumstances have changed, and despite trying, I'm just not able to care for her the way she needs to be cared for! We adopted her in 2021. She's a sweet, loving, low-energy pup who loves to hang near her people, sun herself on the porch, and curl up on the sofa. She is fully crate trained, leash-trained and house trained. She's great with people of all kinds. She's always happy to see you, loves to sit nearby by while go about your business. She doesn't beg, isn't a big barker, and loves to be scratched on the chin. She can be reactive with dogs, so would love a home without other pets. She's spade, chipped and fully up to date on all her shots. When we adopted her, we were a family of 5. Shortly thereafter, my husband left us and moved across the country, and my since then, the eldest two have gone away to school. It's just me and my 12 year old son, and the fires last year in LA sent us seeking clean air in Ventura. We ended up relocating, and I now commute over an hour to work, which means I am sometimes gone for 10+ hours in a day. I'm just struggling to get take care of everything that needs caring for, without help, all while working myself. She does have a degenerative eye issue and is blind in one eye. She needs eye drops daily (trained to receive those, too, so it's easy).
