About Sophie

Sophie - still waiting. Still Hoping. Every day, people walk past her kennel. Some stop. Most don't. And somehow, she's still overlooked. Sophie is our longest resident.And the hardest part? There's no real reason why. When you take her out of the kennel, you meet a completely different dog: * Soft eyes * Gentle, wagging tail * Sweet, affectionate, and eager to be close She walks beautifully on leash. She takes treats gently. She enjoys car rides and simply being with her person. She's house-trained. She's well-mannered. She's the kind of dog who just wants to belong somewhere. But the shelter is loud. And Sophie�'�| isn't always understood in that environment. While other dogs leave, Sophie waits. Day after day. Watching. Hoping. Still here. SOPHIE'S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN PAID VIA CITRUS COUNTY FOUNDATION FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION (CCFAP)'S 'SPONSOR ME HOME PROGRAM! She is a petite girl at only 50 pounds. 2-6 years old. Spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated.
