About Sassy

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Picked up as a stray with no microchip & 72 hour hold has been lifted. She is a 101lb husky mix that is well overweight. We noticed she has dental issues that need attention! All of her incisors on top and bottom are decaying and the gums can be seen through the center of most of them. We are giving her canned food at this time. We are not only concerned about her dental but her stay in our shelter as well. As temperatures rise, it will be harder to keep her cool in our facility as it is non-climate controlled. We have fans to help with comfort, but her breed and being excessively overweight can be a challenge! We believe she is around 3 years old, kennel trained, loves kids, and has done ok with our male dogs. Our shelter is low budget and in a rural area with nearly no outside passing traffic. We would like to see her have a chance at a second home, but being here she possibly won't have that chance. We struggle to adopt out dogs over 40lbs and this girl is well over that with medical needs. We have posted on our facebook page & emailed rescues also.
